WHAT A DAY!!!!!! We had the privilege and blessing to be able to give groceries to 97 people today, our biggest day yet! Many new families registered, and it was such a joy to see the smiles on the children's faces as they helped their moms choose food for the week. Thanks to our volunteers who are tireless in their work for these families. Thanks to the donors who keep us supplied with food and grocery bags. Thank you all for helping us keep these tummies fed and hearts filled with the love of the Lord!!

THANK YOU!!!! to those who attended the Food Drive at Safeway this past Sunday; what a blessing to see you all...we are so grateful for the abundance of food and donations given. Because of you we have a VERY FULL pantry ready for the Christmas season :)
this story below was posted today by one of our volunteers...thank you everyone for your support and prayers...lives are being changed! ----------------------------------- Ken Ciavatta God is really tilling up the soil of my heart. Yesterday at church while serving in the food pantry I was walking out to the parking lot assisting a Hawaiian man that was younger than me that was terminally ill. He was very respectful to both Naloni and I. Earlier I had been learning how to log in new people 's info. on to the computer. There was a note on this same man stating that he is terminally ill when i was logging in his name in. It was the 1st time I met him and when he told us his name I remembered it and the fact that he was terminal. He had such a grateful spirit about him. Other people that come to the Food pantry are constantly thanking us and telling us what a blessing we are to them. I just realized yesterday that the food Pantry is possibly the last line of defense between them and hunger. The last person of the day Called and told us he had nothing and could not make it to the food Pantry. He was a 70 yr. old man on breathing medication (breathing machine type). I delivered the food to him and we talked briefly and I had him fill out a short page of info we needed. It was extremely emotional to see him living all alone in this very small studio apt. He mentioned something that made me feel that his life here on earth was not going to be to much longer. I guess I'm telling you this because my heart is Still heavy from yesterday. This morning and I'm going back to the food pantry in about a half hour from now and tomorrow will be the last day for this week. Please pray for all those people in need and please pray for the people stepping out in obedience and Faith to God's will in their lives. Please pray for the food pantry funding that donations would continue to come in. We are surviving week by week . Mahalo for your prayers !....Aloha !
WOW!! What an incredible month! We had the honor of feeding 162 families with 444 bags of groceries in August, and it is such a joy to be able to serve the Lord in this way. Thank you so much for your prayers and continued support! It is truly making a difference, one meal at a time :)
Such a neat thing happened this morning at the pantry. The first guests inside (a senior couple) walked in with huge smiles and VEGETABLES, so happy that they were able to give back and to bless the other guests! Before they left, they took my hands and asked if they could pray over me and the pantry. Feeling so blessed today :)
Thank you to our amazing team of volunteers who help out each month in the pantry! We are so grateful to all of you!! Here are two that keep us chuckling :) Check out the photo album!
Our wonderful friends who dedicate their time and energy to helping those who hunger. Thank you!!
We have had a wonderful, fruitful summer so far. During the month of July we fed 130 families! The need is growing, and the Lord is blessing us with a team of volunteers who are strong and dedicated! Today we were able to completely restock the Pantry with six thousand and thirty-four pounds of food!! Our little room is packed, and i pray that we outgrow it :) Thank you all so much for your prayers and support, it means so much to the families that are not needing to go hungry now. Blessings to you all!!
"Today our poor of the world are looking up at you. Do you look back at them with compassion? Do you have compassion for the people who are hungry? They are hungry not only for bread and rice, they are hungry to be recognized as human beings. They are hungry for you to know that they have their dignity, that they want to be treated as you are treated. They are hungry for love." (Mother Teresa) She was correct when she said these words...just in these past two days alone, the Lord has provided food for 75 people that have entered these pantry doors; but more importantly, He has blessed us all with His love, shown through smiles, hugs, kisses, prayers, tears, and lots of laughter. May every person that enters our doors know that the Lord cherishes them, cares for them, and is absolutely in love with them!
